Reproductive Health

Reproductive hazards are substances or agents that may affect the reproductive health of women or men or the ability of couples to have healthy children. These hazards may cause problems such as infertility, miscarriage, and birth defects. These hazards should be identified by the campus unit’s Hazard Communication Plan.

Safety and Compliance can conduct hazard evaluations of the work place, make recommendations for engineering controls, administrative controls and PPE, provide training, and assist campus units in creating site-specific Standard Operating Procedures to protect employees against reproductive hazards.
