Abstracts

Abstract submission is now open. The conference planning committee is soliciting presentation abstracts for the 2022 Big Ten and Friends Utility Conference. Read and review the information below prior to submitting your abstract. Speakers will be considered attendees of the conference and are expected to pay their own travel expenses and registration fees.

Submission Deadline: Friday, May 6, 2022

Authors are invited to submit abstracts that address a broad array of subjects on the topics of:

▪ Utility (steam/electrical/chilled water/high temp/hot water) production & distribution systems
▪ Renewable energy
▪ Sustainability/approaches to carbon neutrality
▪ Staffing/training/retention/other

All abstract submissions will be via an online process and will require the following details:

▪Abstract title
▪Author(s) name, institution, email
▪Teaser text (~100 words)
▪Abstract text (up to 300 words)
▪No pictures will be accepted
▪Primary sessions will be limited to 50 minutes, including 10 minutes of Q&A
▪Due to time constraints of determining topic placement, we are unable to accommodate specific date & time requests. Speakers must be available to present any day & time beginning 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 through 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022
▪Acceptance notifications will be sent to primary speaker (per submission form) on or before Friday, May 13, 2022
▪Direct promotions of products, services or monetary self-interest are not appropriate educational sessions. Our members are traditionally vocal in their displeasure with sessions that appear to be sales presentations or promotions.
