Chalmers Street and Daniel Street Road Closures

Chalmers Street Road Closure (between Sixth Street and Wright Street) and

Daniel Street Road Closure (between Sixth Street and Wright Street)

To remove a crane from a construction project at 608 E. Chalmers Street, Wells and Wells Construction will close Chalmers Street between Sixth Street and Wright Street. Due to one-way traffic patterns in the area, Daniel Street will also be closed to through traffic between Sixth Street and Wright Street. Traffic on southbound Wright Street will be detoured east at John Street.

Closures will occur on Thursday, January 16, 2025, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., weather permitting.

Please use alternate routes to avoid the road closures.  The City of Champaign would like to thank you for your cooperation while this work is being performed.
