Donate Your Bike!

Apr 27, 2026 | 2:26 pm

All unattended bicycles on campus will be impounded this summer.

Don't Abandon Your Bike - Donate It!

If you no longer need your bicycle at the end of the academic year, donate it to the Campus Bike Center (51 E. Gregory Drive, Champaign) or the Bike Project of Urbana-Champaign (202 S. Broadway Avenue, room 24). No appointment is required at either location, and it only takes ~10 minutes to drop off your bike as a tax-deductible donation.

All donated bicycles will be refurbished or recycled, reusing as many parts as possible. Donating your bike helps the university direct more support to future bike programs and events, rather than using greater resources to collect and impound abandoned bicycles through the sticker notification process later this summer.

For more information about Bike at Illinois programs or events, contact Sustainable Transportation Assistant Sarthak Prasad, 217-300-9575.
