Fifth Street Closure

The south section of Fifth Street between Armory Avenue and Chalmers Street will be closed from 6 a.m. on Monday, August 24, to 4 p.m. on Friday, October 30, to support a roof replacement project at the School of Labor and Employment Relations.

Please note that the Illini Tower parking garage, Lot C9, and other privately owned parking areas will remain outside of the barricaded area (image below). Access to these locations and other nearby properties will be maintained at all times, but the closure may require traffic reroutes. A portion of the east sidewalk on Fifth Street will also be part of the closure area.
