From the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Operations

I am pleased to share that Jeffrey Angiel has been selected to serve as the new Associate Vice Chancellor and Executive Director of Facilities & Services, pending approval by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees. He will begin in this role on Aug. 12. I will be sharing this information with a message to the university deans, directors and department heads list later today.

Angiel is the Director of Facilities Operations at University at Buffalo, where he oversees skilled trades, customer service, energy management and more across three campuses. He brings extensive experience in guiding complex organizations to improve their customer experience and operations. I am confident his considerable skill, leadership and expertise will be critical assets as we collaborate to carry out our goals and initiatives here at Illinois.

I want to thank the search committee for their careful and thoughtful work. And I want to thank Morgan White for her service and leadership as the interim associate vice chancellor and executive director. Morgan will continue in the leadership role until Angiel’s start date.
