The university partners with the cities of Champaign and Urbana, as well as the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District, to bring self-service, on-demand car-sharing to the community through Zipcar.

Never used Zipcar before? Now’s the perfect time to try it out! First-time users who are students, staff, or faculty at the U. of I. are now eligible to receive a full year of Zipcar membership for free. Members will be charged for individual trips at an hourly rate. Gas, secondary insurance, and 24/7 roadside assistance are included with every trip.

Register on the university Zipcar page before November 30 to secure this special offer. After the first year, the annual membership price is $35 at the university’s discounted rate.
