Have you noticed specific safety concerns when traveling or have thoughts about the future of street redesign, including bike lanes and pedestrian pathways? The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) and the Champaign Urbana Urban Area Transportation Study (CUUATS) program want to hear from you.

Take the new urban and rural area safety plan surveys by Saturday, August 30, to help them develop strategies to address:

  • General traveling conditions
  • Intersections or roadway layouts where safety features could be improved
  • Opportunities for incorporating new transportation technologies and infrastructure
  • Perceptions of overall multimodal safety (drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, etc.)
  • Additional community insights and concerns

Thanks for helping the CCRPC and CUUATS advocate for improvements that make our streets safer for all, including thoroughfares that connect with the University District. The U. of I. supports these efforts, which strive to create and provide better journeys for everyone throughout local communities.
