Beginning this Thursday, there will be increased pedestrian traffic on campus, and race events will require various road closures. One of the primary closures will be Kirby Avenue between First Street and Fourth Street, which will serve as the site of multiple festivals south of Gies Memorial Stadium.
See below for event highlights. For a full schedule, visit the Illinois Race Weekend website.
A complete set of race maps is available, including the Beltway Map, which indicates how drivers and bicyclists can best avoid road closures on Saturday. A list of parking restrictions and anticipated impact times for the route are also provided on that web page.
