Grand Opening of Ted's Café

This semester featured the grand opening of Ted’s Café in the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. The café is now fittingly named after Beckman Founding Director Ted Brown in recognition of his generosity and belief in the importance of this space to the mission and success of the entire Beckman community.

The café has long been a gathering place for students, faculty, staff, and guests of the U. of I., but you may not realize how integral it was to the original design concept for the facility. Watch to learn more about the café renovation project and how this effort has helped modernize a beloved and popular spot on north campus.
