Craig Named Associate Director of Contract Administration

 I am delighted to announce Dennis Craig as the associate director of Contract Administration. 

Dennis joined F&S in 2015 and has served in various capacities in the Project Delivery and Planning & Design divisions, including sharing in the leadership of the Contract Administration team for the past 20 months. In this position, Dennis will guide the department in executing contracts with professional services consultants, contractors, and other vendors that are critical to the successful delivery of planning, design, and construction projects for the university.

He has directly contributed to notable projects, such as the planning and coordination for the Filler Marching Illini Instructional Tower with the Job Order Contracting team; the planning, programming, and site selection for Steven S. Wymer Hall; and the University Library Redevelopment Study, which resulted in a four-phase program, with the first part being the ongoing transformation of the Undergraduate Library into the new Archives and Special Collections building.

Dennis is Orange and Blue all the way through. He holds three degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign: a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in architecture, and a master’s degree in business administration. Additionally, he was recognized as a Bronze Tablet honoree, an academic distinction awarded to top graduates. 

He regularly gives back to future Illini and others by leading tours of iconic facilities like Foellinger Auditorium and the Observatory, and he was featured in the university’s Storied magazine in a profile highlighting his community-focused engagement.
