Campus Street Improvement 2024 Projects

Six comprehensive street improvement projects were active on the Urbana campus after Commencement 2024. The enhancements will include repaving surfaces, replacing curbs and gutters, restriping traffic markings, and more.

Crews are expected to maintain traffic flow throughout the work at all locations. However, temporary vehicular control procedures, such as the use of flaggers and lane adjustments, may occur in specific phases as necessary.

• Gerty Drive from First Street to Griffith Drive (May 20 – June 4)
• Oak Street from Gerty Drive to St. Mary’s Road (May 20 – June 6)
• Gregory Drive from First Street to Dorner Drive (June 3 – June 17)
• Sixth Street from Gregory Drive to Pennsylvania Avenue (June 4 – June 18)
• Goodwin Avenue from Gregory Drive to Nevada Street (June 5 – June 18)
• Gregory Street from Nevada Street to Oregon Street (June 5 – June 20)
