Building Services Update

The SLA for Building Services (Custodial) is being updated to align with APPA standards for cleaning activities and frequencies. These widely recognized industry benchmarks will help the department establish uniform cleanliness standards endorsed by customers and campus leadership. Additionally, implementing this quantitative approach will enable custodial service performance to be better assessed throughout each building. F&S aims to complete this comprehensive SLA update before the start of the Fall 2025 semester and will provide updates once the revised standards are available. Facility liaisons and building contacts will be informed as F&S team members transition to the new procedures in facilities.

The Service Office processes service requests, outages, and utility locates for the campus. The Service Office receives more than 190 work requests per day and averages 10 outage requests and 15 locates per day.
