F&S and Illinois State University representatives proudly present the 2025 Illinois Chief Engineers & Facility Managers Conference. Members from both universities serve on conference planning committees and will help cohost this two-day event on March 6 and 7. Ameren Illinois also is a major contributor, providing significant support to make this annual program possible.
This year, the conference takes place at the I Hotel and Illinois Conference Center and will feature numerous team members as featured speakers, panelists, and presenters to help provide informational sessions focused on the latest technologies and methods used for the efficient and sustainable operation of buildings.
Conference registration ($350) can be made until the event begins and helps cover the costs of meals, space reservations, and technical assistance.
F&S Associate Vice Chancellor and Executive Director Jeff Angiel will give the keynote address covering the challenges and opportunities that the U. of I. and other higher education institutions face in facilities management. Retrocommissioning engineer Andy Robinson will kick off the conference by welcoming attendees to the 73rd annual event.
Vendor engagement will occur following the opening sessions and feature companies specializing in supporting industries such as utilities, construction, and facility management. Participating vendors include Affiliated Engineers, Inc.; Alpha Controls; Altorfer Power Systems; Ameren Illinois; AMP.CO; ComEd; Control Projects Inc.; ENECON Corporation; Environmental Control Solutions, Inc.; Global Water Technology, Inc.; Hawkeye Energy; HOH Water Technology Services; IMEG; Metropolitan Pumps; Ruyle Mechanical Services; Somes-Nick & Company; Spirotherm; and Veregy.
As evidenced by the unit’s recent award as the International District Energy Association “System of the Year,” F&S has remarkable stories about its services and achievements at the U. of I. This conference provides a fantastic forum to share the results and best practices with others who will return the same from their areas of expertise.
